Which Marriott executive club lounge is the best in London?
At certain InterContinental hotels, our luxury travel concierge offers free club lounge access too. We offer free lounge access at the InterContinental London Park Lane, Paris Le Grand, and InterContinental New York Barclay. There is no other way to get free lounge access at InterContinental hotels.
Below is our list of the best Marriott club lounges in London, England.
1. Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel, London
The Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel Executive Lounge, is one of the best executive club lounges in London and is located off the Foyer of this Marriott Hotel, which is just up the road from the Four Seasons and the Intercontinental.
The entrance to The Grosvenor House’s lounge is conveniently situated on the ground floor, accessed via stairs adjacent to the hotel’s reception area. Ascend the elegant marble staircase and pass through a keyed glass door to enter this expansive lounge.
Upon arrival, your attention is immediately captivated by a striking floor-to-ceiling media wall displaying vibrant videos captured in Hyde Park. These videos dynamically change to reflect the current season; during our visit, a captivating autumnal montage adorned the wall. Such thoughtful details truly enhance the experience.
To the right, a friendly concierge awaits, marking the entrance to the lounge’s spacious layout. Private meeting rooms are nestled to the left, while two expansive communal lounges beckon to the right, seamlessly integrated with the delectable food and drink offerings.
The soothing hues of natural creams and oatmeals imbue the lounge with a tranquil ambiance, complemented by ample sofa-style seating arranged in intimate groups of 2 to 6. A communal dining area also accommodates approximately ten guests.
Subtle yet effective lighting illuminates the space, accentuated by strategically positioned mirrors, artwork, and ornaments, which contribute to the lounge’s aesthetic appeal. This lounge has no windows, but the lightboxes are so good that you won’t notice the lack of nattural light.
A comforting fireplace casts a warm glow throughout the day, maintaining a cozy atmosphere and a comfortable temperature of 23°C. Despite the absence of windows, the thoughtful interior design mitigates any sense of confinement, ensuring a pleasant environment.
An intriguing aspect of the lounge is the faint rumble of passing tube trains beneath, serving as a gentle reminder of the bustling urban surroundings, nestled in the heart of London.
The food offering in the executive lounge at the JW Marriott, London, is generous throughout the day, and you can read more about this in our full review.
2. Sheraton Grand Park Lane London
We have a detailed review of the Sheraton Grand Park Lane London Club Lounge as well a separate review of the the Sheraton Grand Park Lane hotel itself.
The Sheraton Grand Club Lounge is conveniently situated just to the right of the Sheraton Grand foyer, nestled at the rear of the hotel near the Brick Street entrance. Divided into two lounges and a meeting room featuring a spacious conference table and chairs, it offers a versatile space for various purposes.
The ambiance of the lounge is characterized by an autumnal color palette, adorned with warm browns and burnt reds. While lacking external views due to its location at the base of the building, the lounge compensates with curtained windows, gently filtering in natural light.
Within this lounge, guests can find an array of comfortable seating options, including tables and chairs, cozy booths with small sofas, and a dedicated computer area equipped with two computers and a printer. A large sofa positioned in front of a TV caters to entertainment needs, though during our visit, this area remained unoccupied.
Adding to the lively atmosphere are fun lighting fixtures featuring prominent drum-style lights suspended from the ceiling. The carpet showcases a striking Deco-style zebra pattern, adding a touch of flair to the space.
The Sheraton Grand Club Lounge fulfills all expectations of a premium club lounge, boasting ample seating that never feels crowded, attentive staff serving drinks and snacks, and a comprehensive selection of offerings throughout the day.
From breakfast featuring warm pancakes and eggs benedict to afternoon tea with delectable pastries and cakes, guests are treated to a satisfying culinary experience. Evening offerings include light bites and a generous selection of alcoholic beverages, including beers and wines.
While the lounge provides a comfortable retreat for relaxation or work, some guests may find the vibrant atmosphere of the hotel’s central foyer more appealing. With its impressive bar area and live music performances, such as the charming accompaniment of a harp player, the foyer offers a lively alternative for an evening’s enjoyment. Overall, the Sheraton Grand Club Lounge provides a pleasant space to while away an hour or two, offering ample sustenance and a complimentary drink selection for guests’ convenience.
3. London Marriott Hotel Park Lane
The London Marriott Hotel Park Lane has a club lounge on the edge of Mayfair. The hotel has enviable views of Hyde Park and Marble Arch. It is a unique Grade II-listed hotel infused with boutique-inspired touches and offers plush bedding, marble bathrooms, and 24-hour in-room dining.
London Marriott Hotel Park Lane is just an 8-minute walk North of the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London, which we have reviewed and has a brilliant executive club lounge. A big difference between these two club lounges is the London Marriott Hotel Park Lane executive club lounge, which offers views outside over the park. The lounge at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London is completely internal, on the ground floor, so it offers no views.
The London Marriott Hotel Park Lane Executive Club Lounge offers a space to space where you can meet with colleagues or unwind over breakfast. This lounge offers traditional decor and plush armchairs. Dark wood paneled walls are decorated in brightly colored modern artworks curated by acclaimed art consultant Peter Millard. Tufted leather chairs and intimate tables provide the perfect backdrop to the views of London’s Hyde Park.
The lounge is available for up to two registered guests per qualifying room and is open all day, daily.
Culinary daily presentations include continental and full English breakfast from 7:00 am – 11:00 am. Afternoon treats from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. A “Taste of London” which is a selection of canapes from 5:30 – 7:30 pm and there are evening drinks including wine, spirits, and beer from 5:30 – 9:30 pm.
This is a great Marriott club lounge in an excellent location in central London. We like the boutique nature of this hotel and its pool.
4. Westin London City
The Westin London City club lounge is tucked away from the other communal areas on the hotel’s fourth floor. The Westin London City Hotel is steps from St Paul’s Cathedral in the heart of the city of London. Mansion House Tube Station is also steps away, even nearer than St Pauls Cathedral. London Bridge and the Tower of London can be easily reached on foot, as can the popular Sky Garden, which offers spectacular city views.
Accessed by your room key, the lounge feels private and exclusive, with a calm, relaxing vibe. The décor is contemporary and chic, with a calming and luxurious mix of natural colors and fabrics.
The lounge is long, with various seating areas separated by open bookcases that act as room dividers for objects d’art and books. Half the room has thick neutral carpets, and the other half has a polished wood floor, creating a feeling of different spaces and zones.
There is a television at one end of the room with comfortable lounge seating and places to stretch out and relax with your morning coffee. This end of the room also has a fireplace that would be super cozy on a chilly winter’s day.
There’s a central zone with café style tables that would work nicely for tucking into breakfast or evening canapes. The other end of the room has long serving tables offering food and drink. The café area is near this buffet zone, too, so it’s super convenient when your plate needs a refill.
There are also plenty of power points, and many of the tables are intimate. This would be perfect as a quiet space from which to work. There’s high-speed internet access available in the lounge, too.
The lounge is located on the bridge across Upper Thames Street, putting it in an excellent position for urban London views, with floor-to-ceiling windows maximizing the light and looking just as fabulous with the lights of London by night.
Breakfast is served each morning, a slightly reduced offering from the main hotel restaurant Mosaic, but still more than enough to fill you up and give you a strong start to the day. I could easily put together a full English, which was much appreciated and isn’t always the case with a club lounge, which often offers more of a continental breakfast. The hotel emphasizes wellness, which is reflected in the food options.
Throughout the day, a variety of snacks and soft drinks are available. We tucked into a wealth of fresh fruit, and the choice of sweets and crisps were ideal for my children.
In the evening, the food offering is especially generous. Several vats of steaming delicious meals were served, including rice, a Moroccan tagine, curries, and salads. We enjoyed the range of fresh breads and a very varied cheese selection, perfect for an after-dinner treat. It’s a lovely buffet-style offering, and we all had different things and little bits and pieces.
There were also plenty of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beers, a choice of wines, and spirits. A popular addition here is the recent ability to offer several beers on tap, too! This is unusual for club lounges, and what a perfectly British move to ensure you get the perfect pint!
5. St. Pancras Renaissance
The St. Pancras Renaissance is one of London’s premier Marriott subsidiary hotels, featuring an executive club lounge. While the lounge has merits, it’s worth noting that the hotel is a considerable distance from major tourist attractions if you prefer exploring on foot.
Renowned for its stunning Victorian architecture, St. Pancras station gained cinematic fame through its portrayal of Platform Nine and Three-Quarters in the Harry Potter series. The station’s interior has undergone a thoughtful modernization, now serving as St. Pancras International, the departure point for the Eurostar to Paris. Nestled within these historic walls lies the St. Pancras Renaissance hotel, comprising two distinct wings: the contemporary Barlow wing and the historic Chambers wing.
Exclusive to Chambers wing guests, the Chambers Club lounge offers a complimentary haven, accessible to Titanium Marriott Bonvoy elite members. While included in the Chambers wing’s premium price, access for Barlow wing guests is limited to Marriott Titanium and Ambassador elite members. Platinum elites, however, do not receive complimentary lounge access but are instead treated to complimentary breakfast at the hotel restaurant.
As for the lounge experience, while it boasts a commendable spread of offerings, some may find the red walls and imposing Victorian architecture in this section of the hotel somewhat overwhelming. Nevertheless, the breakfast offerings are exceptional, featuring a substantial buffet with hot items, including eggs and sausages, alongside made-to-order eggs or omelets at no additional charge.
Afternoon tea is a delightful affair, showcasing sandwiches, cakes, pastries, and scones with jam and cream, complemented by a selection of beverages, including traditional English tea. Evening offerings include a variety of beverages, including beer, wine, spirits, and canapés.
For enthusiasts of travel and architecture, the hotel offers a unique treat with inward-facing rooms overlooking the station platforms, providing captivating views of train arrivals and departures as well as the bustling activity below.
While ideally situated for Eurostar travelers, the hotel’s location may not be as convenient for exploring London’s tourist attractions or leisurely strolls through its parks or along the River Thames, necessitating the use of public transportation.
6. London Marriott Hotel County Hall
London Marriott Hotel County Hall M Club Lounge offers stunning views of the river through its semicircular windows. Recently renovated, this modern space reflects the colors of the sky and river, although London’s typical hues lean more towards gray than blue. Tan leather seating and mustard accents in the carpet and cushions add warmth and cheer to the atmosphere.
In addition to the picturesque views, the lounge features contemporary artwork on its walls, infusing the space with color and liveliness. Cafe-style tables are arranged for convenience, perfect for enjoying breakfast and snacks.
Guests staying in premium rooms or suites enjoy exclusive access to the Lounge, boasting panoramic views of the River Thames and Big Ben. For an unforgettable experience, choose a room with breathtaking views of The London Eye in motion! The iconic attraction can be seen whirling just outside the windows of many river-facing rooms. The club lounge welcomes up to two registered guests per qualifying room and is open daily.
This is a great Marriott club lounge in an excellent location for sightseeing although is the other side of the river from the action. This is a big hotel with a less than inviting entrance that feels enclosed and old fashioned, even with the latest contemporary decor. But the views from the rooms, restaurants and club lounge make up for the lack of openness in the foyer.
