The Delta and the Marriott at Calgary Airport are both conveniently located in the airport. The Marriott is actually inside the terminal.
The Marriott is the better of the two hotels, with newer furnishings, a view of the tarmac, and club lounge access, but the Delta is cheaper as it costs fewer points. Plus, it’s usually also a bit cheaper when you pay with cash.
1. Calgary Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel
When choosing between the Marriott and the Delta Calgary Airport In-Terminal Hotels, the Marriott is by far the superior choice. It is newer, the rooms are nicer, it is inside the terminal (instead of across the road), and it’s a short walk to the US terminal. This hotel is ideal for the first and last nights of your trip if you have an early or late arrival or departure time.
If you are looking for a runway view room, you should also go for the Marriott as it backs onto the gates and runway area, so it has much better views than the Delta.
With Calgary Airport YYC having no recommendable airport lounges, it is worth considering making use of this hotel lounge for as long as possible. Having lounge access for food and drinks is a huge benefit. The Marriott club lounge offers breakfast, with decent food and an orange juice machine that takes fresh oranges. In the evening, there are hors d’oeuvres and alcohol for a fee.
2. Delta Hotels Calgary Airport In-Terminal
The Delta Hotels Calgary Airport In-Terminal is a category 4 Marriott Bonvoy hotel and is your second best airport choice for redeeming Marriott Bonvoy points in Calgary, but it has NO club lounge, the advantage here is that this hotel is cheaper than the Marriott.
Delta Hotels Calgary Airport is an In-Terminal hotel within Calgary International Airport that offers spacious rooms and suites, appointed with mini-refrigerators, plush bedding, and soundproof windows. Greet the day with a hearty breakfast buffet at Compass Restaurant and return for steak and fresh seafood at their popular North 51 Steakhouse in the evening. The “Park Here – Fly There” package is good if you need airport parking, and this hotel also has a fitness center and a sparkling pool.
