1. St Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort
St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort is set on the stunning coastline of the Balearic island of Mallorca. Hidden behind a gated driveway, this impressive hotel is decorated with terracotta roofs, whitewashed walls, and graceful arches.
The hotel sits parallel to the coastline, so all the rooms face the gardens and the ocean beyond. It exudes warmth and sophistication with its stylish luxury furnishings, rich fabrics, and tasteful artwork throughout.
The bar and lounge areas are sleek and newly designed, while the rooms offer a fresh, modern feel. Balconies and terraces wrap around the property, offering stunning views as the sun goes down.
The extensive gardens below glow under the bright Mallorcan sun, showcasing a vibrant mix of lush greenery, colorful florals, and fragrant blooms. Meandering pathways lined with verdant foliage connect the enticing pools and restaurants, while pine trees offer shade to the tables at Mar restaurant at the garden’s edge.
A metal gate at the garden’s end leads to a coastal pathway, where a small sandy cove lies nestled at the foot of the cliffs just beyond the resort.
This beautiful boutique resort is hidden away in magical gardens that span the clifftop in one of the most sophisticated areas of Mallorca. The glistening pools and verdant gardens offer a slice of luminous paradise next to the murmuring sea. You will miss the place before you even leave!
2. Bulgari Hotel Milan
Bulgari Hotel Milan (or Bulgari Hotel Milano) is one of Milan’s most intimate and boutique luxury hotels, hidden down an ultra-exclusive private street in the city center. The neighborhood, secured by 24/7 guards and gated access, exudes privacy and prestige. After entering this affluent enclave, you reach the elegant driveway and the hotel’s discreet entrance.
If you haven’t stayed at a Bulgari before, I would describe them as a cross between a stylish Park Hyatt and an Aman hotel, and this is one of the best Bulgari Hotels In The World.
The rooms at Bulgari Milan feature a modern, Asian-inspired design, with an emphasis on luxury. They are elegantly appointed with pine, wood accents, and sleek black marble. The bathrooms, often clad in black marble, offer a spa-like experience, with many showcasing floor-to-ceiling windows that allow guests to enjoy the view while soaking in a stand-alone tub.
Bulgari’s signature amenities add to the indulgence with generous replenishment of their wonderfully fragrant products. The hotel’s bar and restaurant create an unrivaled atmosphere, widely considered the best in Milan and one of the most exceptional spots to spend an evening anywhere in the world.
Spa pools don’t get more dazzling than the Bulgari Hotel Milan. The steps are adorned with pure gold tiles, and the mosaic tiling throughout the pool shimmers like jewels, creating a serene and luxurious retreat. Relaxing on a plush lounger in this elegant space feels like pure indulgence.
Breakfast here is a delight, served al fresco on the terrace with flair and crafted from the finest ingredients, offering a perfect start to the day.
Evenings at Bulgari Hotel Milan are truly special. As the lights dim and the music gets funky, guests gravitate toward the palm-filled gardens. In summer, the scene comes alive as people lounge on comfortable sofas under glowing, lantern-like lights hanging from the trees. The atmosphere is chic and glamorous, with stylish guests mingling with sophisticated locals, making this the top bar scene in Milan, reminiscent of a high-fashion runway.
3. JW Marriott Venice
You can’t beat the arrival at the JW Marriott Venice. Take a water taxi from the airport and glide into the JW Marriott’s private dock on its own private island.
This private island is a slice of peaceful paradise away from the madness of central Venice. It offers huge gardens edged by the lagoon, wonderful restaurants and pools set within the gardens, a rooftop pool, bar, and restaurant with views spanning Venice in its entirety, and generously sized rooms.
We have tried two wonderful rooms here. One had an enormous terrace that caught the evening sunshine, and another had its own private plunge pool and little garden on the edge of the water. Both rooms offered a unique experience and were a far cry from the smaller rooms you would experience for the same price in central Venice.
The watery surroundings here are unlike anywhere else I’ve been, and the views from the extensive waterfront spa and spa pool, which had its own waterfront loungers, was like having a front-row seat to watch the boating activity that heads to and from Venice.
The setting of the JW Marriott Venice is extraordinary. The price is also very reasonable when you compare it to the more central properties like the St. Regis Venice and the Gritti Palace, which is why this hotel is placed in position 3 in our listing.
4. The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort
This is our top Marriott branded pick for the Maldives. As you swoop in on your seaplane transfer, The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort appears as a mammoth lobster on the azure waters.
This private island getaway, remote even for the Maldives, was designed for today’s experiential traveler, from its daring architecture to its dive center, where marine biologists catalog the rich biodiversity (dolphins and mantas have been spotted). Hop on a Jet Ski or Seabob, get a lava shell massage in the overwater spa, try antigravity yoga, or charter the Azimut yacht for a sunset cruise. Each of the 77 villas has its own butler for personal pampering.
5. The St. Regis Venice
With an Avant-garde design, The St. Regis Venice, which is often considered the best Marriott in Venice, merges striking, modern interiors with its historic provenance as the best address in the city. Flanked by the Grand Canal with views across iconic landmarks, the hotel has stood in this privileged position for over a century and a half.
If you want a modern and classy hotel with fantastic terraces, this is a great Marriott to pick. If you are after a property oozing history, you would do better choosing the Gritti Palace, and if you want your own private pool, pick the JW Marriott Venice.
The hotel is right in the center, within walking distance from pretty much everything, and just a minute’s walk from St. Mark’s Square via alleyways full of luxury boutiques. It has 129 guestrooms, 40 suites (some with a terrace), a garden terrace overlooking the canal, and a fitness center.
The communal areas in this newly launched hotel feel more modern than Venetian. The Italianate garden presents access to a range of dining and beverage options at Gio’s restaurant, the St. Regis Bar, and Arts Bar.

Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve is the best Marriott in Puerto Rico and one of the best Marriott hotels in the Caribbean. It has a secluded location, intimate accommodations, exclusive amenities, and personalized Embajador service.
With 115 oceanfront guestrooms spread across 50 acres and one mile of beach, this luxurious island sanctuary is encircled by coral reefs, blue Caribbean waters, and a lush tropical forest. The Ritz-Carlton Reserve was ‘grandfathered’ to be built on the former Laurance Rockefeller estate’s footprint, allowing for every guestroom and restaurant to rest directly on the beach, only steps from the sea.
7. Zadun, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve
Zadun, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve is the best Marriott Bonvoy resort in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur and it really is an incredible resort. The retreat, which is one of just two Ritz-Carlton Reserve resorts in the wider Caribbean-Mexico region, is set in San Jose del Cabo on the Sea of Cortez.
The property includes 115 suites and villas, along with a massive TLee Spas-designed spa and an ultimate desert luxury ambiance. The mix of units consists of 87 rooms, 28 suites, and 42 villas, headlined by the 6,000 ft² “Grand Reserve Villa.” Many of the suites and villas boast private plunge pools. All rooms have dark wood flooring, and terraces or balconies with glass surrounds, so railings do not disrupt the views of the ocean.
Our favorite room is the Oceanfront Pool Room, with a private plunge pool and ocean views. These rooms have windows that slide right back to open up completely, so the wooden floors stretch through the room out onto a large terrace, where loungers and an alfresco seating area with a table that looks out over the pool and to the ocean beyond.
8. Solaz, a Luxury Collection Resort

With the glimmering Great Bay just outside, hotel rooms and suites offer island-inspired elegance, spacious layouts, and ocean-view balconies. This Club Lounge is probably the best in the Caribbean with a super swish refurbished interior and an outdoor terrace overlooking the grounds and the sea beyond. Here, you can enjoy drinks and local dishes under the stars.
