Club Millésime executive club lounge at the Sofitel London Heathrow Terminal 5 is the hotel’s exclusive club lounge. This is a landside airport and hotel lounge, so you can use it before going to the departure hall at Heathrow Terminal 5 if you’ve booked club lounge access.

Guests at the Sofitel in a luxury room or suite automatically get access to Club Millésime. Guests in standard rooms can upgrade to use the lounge for around £75 GBP per person. This lounge was a Priority Pass lounge for a while but is no longer available with your Priority Pass.

Is it worth upgrading to a luxury club room? I would say yes if you are able to use the breakfast, afternoon, or evening food services, as these will fill you up. Plus, the room provides a nicer setting for a light bite than most of the hotel, with the exception of their two Rosette restaurant, which is nicely designed.

Outside of the food times, this lounge tends to be empty, so if you are unable to make use of the meals or have breakfast included, the upgrade to this club lounge may not be worth the price.

The Sofitel London Heathrow Terminal 5 is your best hotel choice at London Heathrow as it is the only five-star hotel and it’s the only hotel that’s linked to the main Terminal 5 building.

It feels a little like a 1990s shopping mall, but the rooms are a decent size with marble bathrooms, there are good restaurants in the hotel, and the hotel’s convenience for Terminal 5 is unbeatable.

Location

While the hotel is a little soulless, the club lounge is compact and appealing. It is located underneath the hotel rooms beyond the gargantuan atriums that make up this hotel.

Style & Character

The lounge isn’t big, with seating for around 40 people, but it provides a space to relax and includes internet access, food, and drinks.

It offers a fairly classy setting hidden behind a glass wall and accessed via a key card. Unlike the rest of the Sofitel London Heathrow, this club lounge is not cavernous and instead has low ceilings and a warm, cozy feel.

The decor is also more modern than much of the hotel, with a palette of greys and wood on the walls. tables are set out mainly in twos, with small coffee tables separating each duo of chairs, ideal for placing the nibbles and drinks that are provided by the buffet at the end.

There’s a selection of magazines to flick, but outside of feeding times, there is little going on in this club lounge. It;s more like a library which is quite a contrast from the British Airways Galleries airport lounges in Terminal 5.

Food & Drink

A complimentary continental breakfast is provided between 6:30 am and 10:30 am. This is a decent spread with a buffet choice of scrambled eggs and sausages, smoked salmon, bread and jams, cereals, fruit, berries, yogurts, smoothies, juices, coffees, and teas from a machine.

Le Gouter, or afternoon tea, is delivered 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm. I can’t comment on the afternoon tea, as we did not experience it.

In the evening, between 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm is “L’Apero Chic” which is evening snacks and light bites. When er experienced this, there was a good selection of beers (bottles of Peroni, Asaki, and one other), wines, and spirits.

The food offering was not huge and served on very small plates, but there was just about enough to fill you up with noodle vegetable dishes, chicken skewers, fried fish, greek salad, cheese, biscuits, and nuts.

Conclusion

This Sofitel Club Millesime lounge is a decent club lounge with a good food offering. If you don’t have breakfast included in your rate it would be worth paying the extra for this lounge as its meal offerings are good and this lounge offers a nice space to escape to.
