1. JW Marriott Venice
JW Marriott Venice is one of the best Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Venice. If you book this as a redemption, it is cheaper than St Regis or the other ultra-lux options and hits the spot in terms of luxury.
The JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa, which sits on its own private island, costs 50,000 Bonvoy points per night to stay as it is a Rewards Category 6 hotel and is one of the cheapest luxury Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Venice.
Although the hotel itself is stunning, boasting beautiful rooms, a fabulous rooftop pool, another pool surrounded by loungers, multiple bars and restaurants, and expansive grounds (with some rooms even featuring private plunge pools), there’s one drawback. It’s a 15-minute boat ride away from the city center, including waiting and boarding time. This inconvenience can be frustrating if you want to venture out for an evening or enjoy a leisurely drink at a different hotel bar, leaving you somewhat isolated on this picturesque island.
The JW Marriott occupies the exclusive Isola delle Rose, one of the largest and newest islands in the Venetian lagoon, created in 1870 using materials from the construction of the Santa Marta commercial port. Despite the distance from the city center, this lush green island hosts one of the finest Marriott properties I’ve experienced, with some rooms offering private plunge pools. The main building, housing most rooms, the rooftop bar, and the pool, stands at the heart of the island.
Outside, the island beckons exploration, with winding paths leading past olive groves and fields of poppies to outbuildings, including high-end rooms with private pools, a church, herb garden, family pool, the Dopolavro Dining room, and the Gardino Grill, all nestled in a charming garden setting. The expansive spa offers breathtaking views across the water.
The rooftop infinity pool, adjacent to a rooftop bar and restaurant, offers mesmerizing views and plush seating on a beautifully adorned terrace. While the pool’s warmth and ambiance are perfect for relaxation, its shallow depth may disappoint some. For a deeper swim, there’s a secluded outdoor “family” pool hidden amidst the island’s greenery, albeit a bit of a trek in your dressing gown.
Despite its remote location, the resort’s tranquil and serene atmosphere makes it difficult to leave. The hustle and bustle of St. Mark’s Square and tourist activities feel worlds away. However, if you do crave a change of scenery, the hotel’s convenient shuttle boat offers regular and comfortable transfers to St. Mark’s Square.
2. JW Marriott Cannes
The JW Marriott Cannes is ideally located along Cannes’ famous La Croisette, a glamorous seafront promenade celebrated for its luxury, elegance, and panoramic Mediterranean views. This iconic stretch, approximately 2 kilometers long, is lined with tall palms, upscale hotels, designer boutiques, and chic cafes, adding to its allure. Located about 24 kilometers (15 miles) southwest of Nice, Cannes is accessible via Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, the nearest major airport with both domestic and international connections.
This grand foyer, reminiscent of a smaller version of the Luxor in Vegas, stands four stories high. Balconies from the hotel rooms overlook the reception area, set to one side of this grand atrium. In the center, there’s ample seating beneath a stunning, oversized silver chandelier—or perhaps a cluster of chandeliers—that hangs from the ceiling in a dramatic centerpiece.
The interior features gleaming white marble with gold accents, and balcony railings overlook the main restaurant below, helping guests orient themselves toward the seaside side of the hotel.
Although the sunny beaches and vibrant promenade are the main draws in Cannes, this hotel offers a variety of indoor and outdoor dining options and a scenic rooftop pool.
Rooms are bright, modern, and spacious, featuring large windows, contemporary décor, and ocean-inspired blue swirl carpets. Many rooms come with private balconies or terraces, and the recently updated bathrooms add a touch of luxury.
Enjoy a glass of champagne on the scenic Sunset Terrace or indulge in a memorable meal at Scalini Restaurant—both experiences are highly recommended.
While there is no Executive Club Lounge at the JW Marriott Cannes, breakfast is served at The Grill Restaurant, with picturesque sea views and a generous spread. If you book a stay through our luxury travel concierge, you’ll receive complimentary breakfast for two and additional perks.
3. JW Marriott Maldives
JW Marriott Maldives is one of the best Marriott beach hotels in the world, with some of the region’s most impressive culinary facilities, complete with a treetop restaurant and ultra-private supersize villas.
Situated on the island of Vagary, Shaviyani Atoll, JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa features 60 luxurious beach and overwater villas with private pools. Five restaurants, three fully serviced bars, and a chef’s garden are also available, an exceptional offering for a remote private island with only 60 villas.
The resort strongly emphasizes privacy, with private decks and pools designed so they can’t be seen from the outside. Each room draws inspiration from the natural surroundings and local Maldivian culture, incorporating colors and materials that highlight the island destination. Thatched roofs on villas are reminiscent of inverted Dhoni boats, the traditional Maldivian wooden fishing vessels, and slanted roof tips recall white herons dipping their heads into the water.
Situated in the untouched Northern atoll of Shaviyani, the resort, surrounded by beautiful beaches, is a 55-minute seaplane flight to the north of Male. The island’s surrounding natural reef benefits from the fact that the island is far from Male and civilization and is teeming with sea life. An on-site marine biologist ensures the pristine reef remains untouched and in perfect health whilst overseeing aquatic expeditions, including diving and snorkeling.
4. JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes
JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes is large, imposing, and offers a generic Marriott style. It is one of the best Marriott hotels in America. It has a fantastic lazy river and long wiggly waterslide to amuse kids and the young at heart.
This luxurious oasis is nestled within the heart of Florida’s enchanting landscapes. It is situated amidst 500 acres of lush tropical gardens, pristine lakes, and manicured fairways.
One of the highlights of the JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes, is its exceptional culinary offerings. Guests can savor a diverse array of culinary delights at the resort’s award-winning restaurants, which showcase innovative menus crafted with locally sourced ingredients and global flavors. Whether indulging in fine dining at Primo, savoring fresh seafood at Citron, or enjoying a casual meal at Whisper Creek Farm: The Kitchen, there’s something to tempt every palate.
For relaxation and rejuvenation, the resort boasts a world-class spa where guests can unwind with luxurious treatments inspired by ancient wellness traditions from around the globe. Additionally, the resort offers various recreational activities, including championship golf courses, tennis courts, and guided eco-tours, ensuring there’s never a dull moment during your stay.
This JW Marriott sits next to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grand Lakes and we have compared JW Marriott Vs. Ritz-Carlton Orlando.
5. JW Marriott Grosvenor House London
One of the best Marriott hotels in London is the JW Grosvenor House, which also has one of the best club lounges in London.
Nestled on Park Lane in the heart of Central London, this hotel boasts an esteemed location in the upscale neighborhood of Mayfair. Just a stone’s throw away from iconic landmarks such as Hyde Park, Oxford Street, and Buckingham Palace, it offers unparalleled access to the city’s finest attractions.
The accommodation exudes elegance, with plush pillowtop beds, luxurious marble bathrooms, and seamless high-speed Wi-Fi access. For a quintessentially British experience, treat yourself to a 5-star luxury afternoon tea in the Park Room before hitting the state-of-the-art fitness center to work it off.
Notably, the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London club lounge sets a standard of excellence. Accessible via a staircase adjacent to the hotel’s reception area, the lounge welcomes guests with a keyed glass door and a captivating floor-to-ceiling media wall showcasing vibrant scenes from Hyde Park.
Inside, the spacious lounge unfolds, revealing private meeting rooms on the left and two expansive communal lounges on the right, adorned in soothing natural creams and oatmeals. Plentiful sofa-style seats and a shared dining table area offer ample space for relaxation and socializing. Despite the absence of windows, the interior design compensates, ensuring a cozy ambiance.
The culinary offerings in the executive lounge are abundant throughout the day. Start your morning with a sumptuous spread of scrambled eggs, sausages, pastries, fruits, and more, complemented by a selection of beverages. Indulge in cakes, cookies, and scones with jam and cream for afternoon tea, with the lemon drizzle cake being a standout. In the evening, savor a varied selection of meals, accompanied by wines, champagne, and beers, available until late. Unlike other executive lounges, there’s no early cutoff for complimentary drinks, allowing guests to unwind at their leisure.
The lounge at the JW Grosvenor House definitely falls in our top 3 best executive lounges in London, alongside that of the Langham London and the Intercontinental Park Lane lounge. The advantage the JW lounge has over its competition is that you can gain access purely because of your Marriott status (free access is gained if you hold Gold or Platinum status). To gain access to the Intercontinental and Langham executive lounges, you must pay a high-end room or an additional fee, regardless of your status, although you get free club lounge access at the InterContinental when you book your stay via our

Despite the luxurious amenities, the lodge maintains a warm, grounded ambiance, encouraging guests to disconnect and fully engage with the sights, sounds, and tranquility of the African savannah. Here, each detail invites you to savor the beauty and serenity of this remarkable corner of the world.
7. JW Marriott Resort & Spa Cancun
JW Marriott Resort & Spa Cancun is a Rewards Category 6 Marriott Bonvoy hotel with upscale amenities including spacious, sand-toned accommodations and on-site dining.
Explore the historic Mayan ruins and experience the area’s lively clubs and bars. Relax in the family-friendly freeform pools or adult-only infinity pools, or work out at the fitness center, featuring cardio equipment and free weights. The beach here is white sand with a glorious blue sea—wonderful! There’s an indoor pool and arcade-style game machines for rainy days for the kids.
Be aware of the extra charges at this hotel. Private cabanas cost $250 USD a day, and you can reserve lounge chairs with prime ocean views for $180 USD a day. Ouch! Reports suggest that you are also meant to tip the staff for the free drinks in the club lounge.
The JW Marriott, like The Ritz-Carlton and other big hotels in Cancun, is in the Hotel Zone, around half an hour by car from Cancun Airport (CUN). The JW Marriott is around a kilometer south of The Ritz-Carlton. The foyer is beautiful, with many marble pillars and colossal flower arrangements.
The Club and Club level rooms have been renovated. Club rooms are modern with tiled floors, pine headboards with Mayan patterning, and blue and tan hues bringing the beach inside. Bathrooms are large and stylish, with lovely rough stone tiling on the walls and Aromatherapy amenities.
The lounge looks equally appealing, with the same tan and blue hues and beautiful windows with views over the ocean. This is a nice and stylish place to hang out.
Inspired by the great pyramid of Kukulcán, the executive club lounge labeled Club 91 is an exclusive haven of luxury. Located on the 14th and 12th floors of the JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa, Club 91 guests experience exclusive privileges and a lavish array of world-class amenities.
Is this JW Marriott “Club 91” Lounge worth paying the extra for (usually around $20 USD per person per room)? This is a common question as Platinum and elite Marriott Bonvoy members don’t get free lounge access. Like the process at Ritz-Carlton hotels, even elites need to pay for access. They say: “A rate with Club 91 access must be booked to take advantage of Club 91 benefits. It is not included in the Reward Member benefits.”
If you have club lounge access, you get free breakfast, free evening snacks, and alcoholic drinks. Throughout the day, you have snacks and soft drinks. If you like a few evening alcoholic drinks, then yes, the lounge is worth paying for, as you get free breakfast, free evening nibbles, and those valuable free drinks. If you only drink soft drinks, this lounge may not be as valuable to you as the hotel is in an area that feels safe, with plenty of local restaurants nearby that offer excellent value for money, so you may prefer to do this.
If you do decide to book into the lounge, expect five decent food events daily and an open bar in the evening with rotating hot dishes as well as cold cuts, cheeses, smoked salmon, veggies, and this kind of thing.

The JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong Executive Club Lounge is on the 5th floor. Its ambiance exudes modernity and sophistication, characterized by sleek wooden flooring and subtle lighting. The comfortable restaurant-sized tables near the buffet provide an ideal setting for indulging in the array of culinary delights available.
With its warm brown and oatmeal hues, the lounge offers a welcoming retreat throughout the day and into the evening.
