The British Airways Galleries First Lounge in London Heathrow Terminal 5 is spacious, embraces the daylight, and has a lot of food on display: a fresh soup bar, hot and cold entrees, lots of snacks, full coffee stations with all sorts of cappuccino, and lattes, and a vast selection of wines, beers, and spirits.

British Airways has five Club Lounges in London Heathrow Terminal 5, including the prestigious Concorde Room in Terminal 5. The most accessible lounges are the Galleries Club South and Galleries Club North lounges, open to First or Club class passengers (including Club Europe) and Gold or Silver members of BA’s Executive Club.

The Galleries First Lounge Terminal 5 is a step down from the Concorde Room, the pinnacle of Club Lounges at Heathrow Terminal 5. You should visit the Concorde room if you are flying First Class on British Airways. All Concorde Rooms are restricted to passengers holding a First Class flight ticket or a Concorde Room card, given out for earning 5,000 tier points annually.

British Airways has five Club Lounges in London Heathrow Terminal 5 including the prestigious Concorde Room in Terminal 5. The most accessible lounges are the Galleries Club South and Galleries Club North lounges, open to First or Club class passengers (including Club Europe) and Gold or Silver members of BA's Executive Club. The next step up is the Galleries First lounge, for First class passengers and Gold Executive Club members.  The Concorde room epitomizes elegance and is the pinnacle of Club Lounges at Heathrow Terminal 5. There is also a Concorde Room in New York's JFK.

You can access the Galleries First Lounge if you fly on a Oneworld carrier on a same-day with a First Class ticket or if you have Oneworld Emerald status, which equals British Airways Executive Club Gold Level.

British Airways Executive Club Gold Level members can access the lounge with one guest, even if they are flying on an economy flight.

Location

The Galleries First Lounge in Terminal 5 is situated opposite the Concorde Room, on the same floor, with the larger Galleries South Lounge located on the floor above. All three lounges are accessible via the same set of escalators, and each features a staffed reception desk where team members verify your ticket for entry.

Style & Character

As you enter the lounge there is a seating area in front of you with external windows with views over the airport behind.

The food here is very similar to the Galleries Club lounges. There are sandwiches and cake (more cake options than in the Galleries club lounges). Their chocolate cake is excellent.

The hot food buffet from around 11:00 am onwards offers fishcakes, pasta, chicken or vegetarian curry, mash, hot vegetables, and rice. All of it is tasty, but the food is virtually the same as the food served at the three Galleries Club lounges in Terminal 5.

The First Lounge is less busy than the Galleries Lounges, so getting a seat or group of seats is much easier. But if you want peace and quiet, it is the Concorde room that you can access with your First Class ticket that is the best option.

Spa

The various British Airways lounges at Terminal 5 share an Elemis Travel Spa. The free treatments are quick, around 15 minutes, they are excellent, plus it is something else to do to break up the trip. If you are traveling in First, you can get priority booking online for these Spa facilities.
