1. Hilton Molino Stucky Venice

Hilton Molino Stucky Venice is an impressive 5-star hotel, walking distance from Zattere and Church of San Sebastiano, on the island across the canal (Guidecca), and close to Rialto Bridge and St. Mark’s Basilica.

It’s located in a renovated 19th-century flour mill and is huge by Venice standards, with 379 air-conditioned rooms featuring minibars and LED televisions. Rooms are quite decent, especially if you get upgraded to a canal view room, plus you have wireless Internet access (surcharge) that keeps you connected. Bathrooms with showers feature complimentary toiletries and hair dryers. Conveniences include phones, as well as safes and desks.

Beyond your room, you can relax at the full-service spa, where you can enjoy massages and body treatments. You can enjoy the 24-hour health club, an outdoor pool, and a sauna. The pool is very special. It’s relatively small but on the rooftop, so the views are fabulous.

The shuttle, which is the hotel boat, takes you across the main canal from the other side. You can walk to St. Marks Square. The shuttle is packed in the morning and evening, but if the queue is too much, you can take a water taxi for a fee, or the water bus stop is about 5 minutes’ walk away.

Reviews

Hilton Molino Stucky Venice is a stylish hotel set in a historic factory building with over 400 beautifully designed rooms and one of the best club lounge in Venice. Situated on Giudecca Island, this hotel stands out for its newly refurbished accommodations, which are mainly set very high up in this towering building that was originally a flour mill. This means that the views from many of the rooms are unmatched by most other hotels in Venice, and the rooftop bar and pool offer an incredible and Instagramable destination with views across the entire of watery Venice.

Hilton Honours loyalty members with Diamond status get complimentary access to the very decent executive lounge at the Hilton Molino Stucky Venice, which offers a free breakfast buffet and evening light bites and drinks. You may or may not get this upgrade if you are a Gold loyalty member. There have been mixed reviews on whether you’ll get the upgrade for free.

The lounge is right on the ground floor, is beautifully decorated, and is next to the restaurant and just off the lobby. To get access to the lounge, you had to either be a Diamond Hilton Honours member or stay in one of the executive rooms or above.

The lounge is a long, narrow room with a glass wall on one side and lots of wooden beams on the ceiling. It’s fairly classy, and there are window tables overlooking Venice on one side so you can enjoy your free breakfast while watching the boats go past.

The lounge is open from 7:00 am – 9:00 pm.

Hot/Cold Drinks and Dry Snacks are served alongside breakfast, which is very limited, so eat breakfast at the main hotel restaurant if you have the choice. Sandwiches are served around noon, followed by dessert and Canapés/Drinks (Wine & Beer) in the evening. The Canapes are fairly limited and not enough to fill you up but make a nice snack.

This is a really nice Hilton lounge. The atmosphere, staff, and views are great. The food is limited but free, so who’s complaining? Wine and beer are also free, so it’s good to pop by in the evening.
