1. Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge

Set in the heart of the City, overlooking Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge is one of the best Four Seasons in England. It is as impressive inside as it is from the outside. This Four Seasons Hotel is located in a 1922 Grade-II listed former Port of London Authority HQ, opposite the Tower of London.

The grand lobby lies at the hotel’s heart, hosting all-day dining, afternoon tea, and drinks under a backlit art-deco-style dome. This hotel’s communal areas are particularly stunning and steeped in history.

The hotel has just 100 rooms, including 11 suites, so it is boutique in size. Executive rooms have separate living areas and can sleep a family of four, while nine Heritage suites on the ground floor boast ceilings at least five meters high.

The lower ground floor is home to a 1,600 m² spa with eight treatment rooms, including a hammam suite, and a 14-meter pool (pictured above), all kept immaculately. This underground spa is one of the most beautiful in London. Insanely glamorous and serene, the pools (yes, two) are long and thin, and the entire space is decked with light grey mosaic walls and abstract gold trees, creating a calm, natural mood.

One of the pools is a regular swimming pool, albeit it’s 14 meters in length, and the other is a vitality pool. Here you float slowly between various areas, choosing from underwater massage pods, a neck massager, or underwater jacuzzi beds.

At one end of the room, there is a sauna, and at the other, a steam room, with chill-out spaces next to each. The usual very comfortable Four Seasons spa loungers line the pool, and just outside, you can help yourself to chilled cucumber and lemon water with warm Jasmine tea served alongside. To say this spa is relaxing is an understatement; you’ll never want to leave.

2. Corinthia London

All guests at the Corinthia Hotel in London get to enjoy complimentary access to ESPA Life at Corinthia, which is our favorite part of this hotel. This four-story spa sanctuary is a labyrinth of thermal experiences, pools, and relaxation rooms.

The spa smells gorgeous, a mix of the warming scents of rose geranium and bergamot, an ESPA signature scent that transports you to a place of inner calm. Winding white shiny corridors lead you through to breathtakingly luxurious spaces, like the all-white spa lounge; darkened relaxation areas with curtained sleep pods and twinkling fibre optics above you; and warming ‘Cleopatra’ loungers.

The Corinthia London’s spa features a striking nine-meter stainless steel swimming pool. This 30-foot swimming pool is a deliciously relaxing temperature and children can enjoy this with their parents twice a day.

There are white sofas hidden in small nooks along the side of the pool to relax in with a book whilst watching the mesmerising pattens of the water ripple across the ceiling. We visited the pool in the morning slot when it was nice and quiet.

This serene pool is complemented by a nearby vitality pool, creating a tranquil relaxing environment. Guests can also enjoy the amphitheater sauna, steam room, ice fountain, and sleep pods, all designed to enhance the luxurious spa experience.

3. Langham London

Langham London, near Oxford Street and Selfridges, offers the excellent Chuan Health Club under the hotel. This is a fully equipped fitness center with first-rate Technogym cardio and resistance equipment.

This wellness area also houses a 16-meter (53-foot) pool right in the depths of the building, built into what used to be a bank vault. This pool is stunning, with slate walls and a Japanese tree design backlit by pretty lights at one end. When you swim up and down, you can hear the distant rumble of the tube trains passing by beneath you.

4. The Peninsula London

The Peninsula London is one of the newest luxury hotels in London. It opened in 2023. The location of The Peninsula London is just across the Hyde Park roundabout from Four Seasons Park Lane and the InterContinental London Park Lane and just steps away from Buckingham Palace, Knightsbridge, and other iconic attractions.

The Peninsula Spa and Wellness Centre offers a diverse array of relaxation and well-being choices, including an extensive menu of mind-body therapies, a results-driven wellness program, a fully equipped fitness studio, and an 82-foot indoor swimming pool.

5. The Berkley, Knightsbridge Near Harrods

This rooftop pool is on the seventh floor of the luxury Berkley hotel, located just up the road from Harrods in Knightsbridge. This is the only centrally located London hotel with a rooftop pool. Although the pool is slap bang in the center of London, the ambiance feels more like one of Bath’s historic spas. Romanesque pillars and mosaic detailing tiled in iridescent white and gold give the pool a luxury ambiance, which you will appreciate as you notch up some laps. The poolside loungers have views across the city, and tables and chairs are perfectly placed for you to savor every fine bite and tipple from the spa menu.

6. Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park In Knightsbridge, Near Harrods

The Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, is steps from Harvey Nichols and Harrods in Knightsbridge and looks out over Hyde Park. The pool at the hotel is part of their new fitness and wellbeing facility and boasts state-of-the-art Technogym® equipment and a 17-meter indoor swimming pool. The changing area offers a sauna in the male area and a steam room in the female area, revitalizing experience showers, and a relaxation area.

7. The Ned London

The Ned London sits in the former Midland Bank headquarters in the City of London. This is the new flagship 5-star hotel from the Soho House group. The Ned Hotel gets its name from the eminent architect who designed the building, and it has been redesigned using 1930s glamour inspired by the transatlantic ocean liner.

A highlight here is the rooftop space with a swimming pool, rooftop bar, and landscaped terraces. There’s also a health spa with an indoor pool, a gym, and an underground bar in what used to be the safety deposit vault underneath the great banking hall. To use the pools, you need to book a room or become a member.

8. Park Hyatt London River Thames

The Park Hyatt London River Thames is a gorgeous, modern luxury hotel on the banks of the River Thames. It has a decent pool and wonderful views and is easily accessible to the city.

However, if you like walking, this hotel is not brilliantly located and is across the river from all the major action in London, like shopping in Knightsbridge or Oxford Street. The bars, restaurants, and theatres of the West End and all the London parks are maybe 20 minutes’ walk away.

It is also directly opposite Westminster and offers local walking routes to stroll and explore Sloane Square and bustling Kings Road, the award-winning gallery Tate Britain, the charming green expanse of 200-acre Battersea Park, and the Kia Oval cricket ground.

This hotel offers an array of facilities and a beautifully modern hotel setting. There are loads of dining choices for culinary enthusiasts and a lavish spa where guests can enjoy relaxation lounges, a nail salon, spa rooms, and an really impressive indoor pool.

9. Cafe Royal

Located on Regent Street in the heart of London’s West End, Hotel Café Royal sits between Mayfair and Soho, just steps from Piccadilly Circus and some of the city’s best shopping, dining, and theatres. Despite its vibrant surroundings, the hotel offers a tranquil retreat within its historic walls.

Tucked away underground is the hotel’s serene Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre, home to a stunning 18-meter (60-foot) lap pool. Framed by soft ambient lighting, sleek marble, and soothing neutral tones, the pool area feels like a hidden sanctuary—perfect for a quiet swim or a moment of relaxation away from the city buzz.

10. Westin London City

The 12-metre basement swimming pool at Westin London City is a delight; it’s beautifully lit and accompanied by excellent spa facilities. This double pool area (there’s a larger pool and a small dipping pool) is surrounded by comfy lounging seats, and the walls are covered with stone work and decorated by hidden inset lighting. It feels a bit like you are inside a temple or a pyramid rather than in central London. This pool is definitely stylish and a great place to spend a few hours relaxing.

11. Intercontinental O2, Near Canary Wharf

Not far from the Canary Riverside Plaza and in the east rather than the center of London, unlike its sister Intercontinental Park Lane, the Intercontinental O2 offers a club lounge and an excellent pool. The pool is smart, a decent size, and has comfy loungers around it. It is worth noting that Intercontinental Park Lane is a great property, right in the center, but it does not have a pool.

12. Shoreditch House, East London

Members and hotel guests can use the pool at Shoreditch House in East London (pictured above). Shoreditch House describes itself as a members club with rooms in a converted east London warehouse and is a short tube ride from central London and all the attractions. Lounge on padded red and white loungers looking out over the London skyline, or dip in this rather trendy, urban rooftop pool.

13. Four Seasons Hampshire

Four Seasons Hampshire sits to the south of London in the rolling Hampshire hills. It’s a short 45-minute train ride from Central London to Fleet Station, and the Four Seasons can send a car to pick you up, or you can pick up a local taxi from there to take you to this magnificently British countryside retreat.

If you have children between 2 and 12, Sharky’s Reef is one of England’s best kid’s pools and a must-try for families. The hotel also features a more adult lap pool set in a Victorian-style greenhouse and an outdoor wellness pool with bubbles and loungers to soak up the sun on warmer days.
